Rumour: The Sims 4 In Production

Only a month or so ago we revealed that EA had registered the domain name for a certain ‘Sims 4′. Thing is, registering a domain name and actually making a game are two different things. It’s nice to see that EA are doing both.

Over on Gamasutra, we noticed that EA are ‘currently looking for artists and engineers for SIMS’. Why?

“The studio that brought you The SimsTM is looking for gameplay programmer/generalists to help build a new experience in The Sims legacy.”

‘New experience’ is longhand for ‘the next game with a number at the end’. Don’t expect Sims 4 anytime soon, though – if there’s money to be wrangled out of souls playing Sims 3 via expansion packs, you can be sure EA will squeeze out every last penny.
